Matthew 25: 35, 37, 40
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.” Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you? The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Reflection: Hunger is an age-old problem, the situation seems overwhelming. What would Jesus have me do? He commands me to help the “least of these.” He asks me to be open to the opportunities in front of me. He asks me to do what I can with the resources I have been given.
Donate food for Bethel’s food pantry. Volunteer to help at the Midwest Food Bank. Help with the Crittenton Garden Project. Support the ministry of the Ulrich family in Malawi, Africa. God will show me the need and has given me the resources to help.
I pray for God’s help and guidance in how to help and how to use the resources I have been given. I feel called to intentionally help those in need, the least of the brothers and sisters God shows me to help.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, help me see the need and help where I can. In your Holy and blessed name I pray. Amen.
